Once your final review has been completed by our grant experts, you are just a few steps away from submitting your application to the funding body. This guide walks you through exactly what to expect and what to do next.
Step 1: You’ll receive a confirmation email
Once our review process is complete, you will receive an email from us confirming that your final review has been completed and is ready for you to make final edits and submit to the official funding body.
This email is your signal that the review stage is complete and you can move forward with preparing your submission.
Step 2: Log back into the Grantify platform
After receiving the email, log back into the Grantify platform.
When you do, you will notice that your application status has now been updated to:
“Submit to Funding Body”
This status change indicates that:
the review process has been completed, and
you are now clear to proceed with final edits.
Step 3: Download your application files
At this stage, you will no longer be working directly within the Grantify platform.
Instead, you will see a button that allows you to download your application files.
Once downloaded:
please work on the application in a document file (rather than in-platform), and
make final edits in response to the feedback received and then copy and paste your final answers into the funding body’s own submission portal.
📌 The feedback from the review team is included directly inside the application document.
Step 4: Make edits using the review feedback
We recommend using Microsoft Word wherever possible, as it provides the best visibility of comments, suggested edits, and tracked changes from our grant experts.
If you do not have access to Microsoft Word or prefer working in a browser-based document, you can use Google Docs instead.
Option 1: Microsoft Word
You can use Microsoft Word if you have access to it and prefer working in a desktop document.
Open your application in Microsoft Word.
To view our grant experts’ comments and suggested edits, make sure “Show Comments” is turned on under the Review tab at the top.
We strongly recommend turning on Track Changes.
Using Track Changes will:
make it easy to see where you have already made updates, and
allow you to “resolve” our grant experts’ comments as you address them.
Option 2: Google Docs
You can use Google Docs if you do not have access to Microsoft Word or prefer working in a browser-based document.
To get started:
Go to Google Drive.
Click New → File upload.
Upload the application document you downloaded from the Grantify platform.
Once uploaded, right-click the file and select Open with → Google Docs.
⚠️ Please note:
When you first click the document, Google Drive may open it in preview mode. If this happens, click “Open with Google Docs” at the top of the screen to fully open the file. When fully opened, you should see the menu bar with File, Edit, and other tabs.
To view our grant experts’ comments and suggested edits, turn on “Show comments” in the top-right corner.
For visibility while editing, we recommend:
highlighting your changes, or
changing the text colour of any updates you make
This will help you easily track which sections you have already updated as you work through the feedback.
Need to review your previous answers?
Once you move to this stage, you will no longer have full access to the Grantify platform. However, if you need to revisit your previous answers for reference, you can request read-only access at any time.
Please see this article for instructions on how to request read-only access:

Step 5: Follow the submission guidance provided
Alongside your application document, you will also receive submission guidance.
This guidance explains:
how to transfer your answers into the funding body’s portal, and
what to watch out for during submission
You do not need to worry about formatting or submission steps. The guidance is there to support you through the final stage. We typically include this at the bottom of your application document. If this is not included there, a separate guidance document will be provided, or a link will be shared in the email notifying you that your final review is complete.
Step 6: Submit your application to the funding body
Once you have finished making edits based on the review feedback and followed the submission guidance provided, you are ready to submit your application.
At this stage:
ensure all reviewer comments have been addressed, and
copy and paste your final, updated answers into the funding body’s submission portal.
We recommend doing a final read-through before submitting to confirm everything has transferred correctly.
After submitting, please confirm with us that your application has been submitted to the funding body. You can do this directly from the Grantify platform. This allows our team to be notified, keep track of your submission, and share any relevant updates if needed.
